games

Bored? Here's a groovy place to waste some time. All games can be played right on your browser. The games pop up in their own window, so if you have popup blocking activated, you may need to temporarily disable it. Many of the games require the shockwave/flash plugins, but if you've spent much time on the internet, chances are you already have the plugins installed. If you're not sure, you can check here and download if necessary - it's free.

Sweet! Use the left and right and arrow keys to move up and down the face of the wave, hold down the shift key to make your turns tighter or hold down the spacebar to stall for the barrel. Game from RipCurl*. approx 0.7MB to load.

tetris tetris »
Will the popularity of this game ever die? I don't think so. A true classic. Play instructions are included in-game. Supplied with thanks to neave.com. format: shockwave.

pacman pacman »
The little yellow pacman roams around a maze being spooked by ghosts and popping pills. No wonder this webgame's staggeringly addictive. Supplied with thanks to neave.com. format: shockwave.

space invaders space invaders »
The grandaddy of retro gaming. We all know how irritating aliens can be, particularly when they start shooting at you. Use spacebar to fire, left and right arrow keys to move. Supplied with thanks to neave.com. format: shockwave.

*Note: the surfing game is now hosted onsite due to RipCurl redesigning their website (December 2005) and apparently not including the game in the new design. Rip Curl have kindly given permission for me to host the game providing I link to their site. The sailing simulation is also now hosted onsite, purely to save bandwidth for MacGregor Media, the authors of the simulation.
