Wednesday 29 November, 2006 at 9:29AM (Nereus) :: permalink :: comments (2) Thanks to some asshole hacker, any attempt to use the website search utility over the last week or two would've landed you on an outside spam website. I have removed the 'recent search' details as a direct result - yet another feature gone from the site thanks 100% to spammers. In the meantime, my throttled comment count is currently over 30,000 in the last month alone (that's pure spam which has been caught) - while it is good that not a single one of the comment spam attempts have made it past the security measures on the site, it also tells me that spammers are constantly hammering the server attempting to post their spam here 24 hours a day 7 days a week, which is using up CPU resources and bandwidth. Perhaps I'll just password protect the entire domain. Should one ever happen to meet one of these scum-sucking asshole spammers, I imagine it would be very difficult restraining oneself from kicking them in the face repeatedly with heavy steel-capped boots, much like the boots I'm wearing right now. thanksgiving

It's been a long time with no posts from me, and looks like it will stay that way for some time - study has been full-on with exams almost every week that count towards my final grade, so there's been little opportunity to do anything else at all. This Thanksgiving weekend will be a non-event for the most part too - I have a bunch of assignments and a major presentation to prepare and complete for next week, as well as the usual homework and hundreds of pages of Greek poetry to read ..grrr. The liberal arts portion of my degree is huge - way more than half of it - and some of it takes up so much time there is little time left over to study for my major, which is just stupid. I certainly wont be getting an A average this semester (A = 93 - 97% average), particularly for my major subjects, thanks mostly to the disproportionate workload. Whatever, if it has to be done, it has to be done, no point moaning about it really.
